Every three years, the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE) reviews all approved special education schools to ensure that they meet state and federal regulations. DESE’s findings are then compiled into a report (linked below).
To complete their reviews, on-site visits were conducted at each of our therapeutic programs: Dearborn Academy, Dearborn Summer Program, and Seaport Academy. DESE’s thorough assessment found that all requirements were fully implemented, and as a result, no corrective action is needed.
This is an outstanding testament to the excellent administration of our programs and the fantastic work being done on behalf of our students. We couldn’t have hoped for a better result!
We at Schools for Children are proud of the dedicated faculty and staff at each of our therapeutic programs for this achievement. We hope you will take a moment to read the report, which is entitled a Mid Cycle report as it occurs in the third year of a six-year cycle.
