On October 4, 2010, Schools for Children participated in a nationwide screening of the critically acclaimed documentary Race To Nowhere. This film calls attention to the dark side of America's achievement-driven culture and the way it has affected our schools, college admissions and standardized testing.
Over 400 people, from parents, to educators, to physicians and authors, attended this only Boston-area screening. Following the screening, educators and authors Alfie Kohn and Richard Weissbourd talked about the issues raised in the film and took questions and comments from the audience.
