Just in time for millions of kids heading back to school, the New York Times is reporting that everything we think we know about studying is wrong.

For example:

  • The designated study space? Retention is better when students change study locations.
  • Some kids are right brained, some left? There's no  evidence for this kind of labeling.
  • Read something over and over to learn it? No. Varying the media is more effective.
