Dearborn Academy offers hope to kids who struggle

Dearborn Academy was recently featured in an article in the North Andover Citizen.

If one word could describe Dearborn Academy in Arlington, that word would be “hope.” Serving more than 40 communities, Dearborn Academy is a private special education day program for children and adolescents with learning, emotional and behavioral difficulties. By and large, these are the kids that have struggled in the public schools.

“They give up hope,” Dearborn Academy Director Dr. Howard Rossman said. “They think, ‘I have failed two or three times already. Why should I try again?’ We try to turn that around. We try to give them hope.”
