Arlington Town Meeting members on Monday authorized the Board of Selectmen to take steps to dispose of the Crosby School by lease or sale. The school, located at 34 Winter Street, Arlington, has been occupied by Dearborn Academy a program of Schools for Children (SFC) since 1983.

If one word could describe Dearborn Academy in Arlington, that word would be “hope.” Serving more than 40 communities, Dearborn Academy is a private special education day program for children and adolescents with learning, emotional and behavioral difficulties. By and large, these are the kids that have struggled in the public schools.
