A recent study by the Rand Corporation describes the gap between good ideas in education and making them happen. Implementation of new practices is always difficult. The report highlights the many problems faced by public schools in implementation important reforms. The authors conclude that comprehensive school reform can be expected to have little effect on student achievement at the current rate of implementation.

Cambridge Rindge & Latin School is set to launch an innovative program designed to provide students in their culinary arts program a chance to practice what they are learning. The school will open a 45-seat restaurant, take-out service, and catering business run entirely by students. The program is one of just 77 in the country certified by the American Culinary Federation. Read more here!
